This two-day intensive is designed to give you hands-on experience with all of the exercises taught in the book Move your DNA by Katy Bowman. The only prerequisite is having read the book. The curriculum will consist of those exercises, giving you a chance to thoroughly explore the movement with the benefit of a certified Restorative Exercise Specialist™ teaching and observing you. We’ll also spend time outdoors working on gait patterns and natural movements. Learn to move without pain with exercises you can fold into your everyday life. Classes are limited to 10 students to allow for plenty of individual attention. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in improving their health through practicing these correctives. Included in the course price is an e-workbook with all of the exercises!

Class series offered at Lake Tahoe Community College:

RESTORE THE BODY THROUGH MOVEMENT: Learn functional strength and flexibility; decrease pain and improve mobility. Participants will practice alignment-based restorative exercises that uncover your body’s “sticky spots” and work to correct them. The movements are gentle and appropriate for all levels, and modifications are given for any injuries or abilities.

DYNAMIC AGING:  What if changing how you move can change how you feel, no matter your age? This class features a “textbook” that’s written for a 50+ audience and is full of exercises and habit adjustments that will help you restore movement, improve the health of your feet, and get better balance. We’ll work through the book together with weekly reading assignments, and at the end of the class you’ll have a reference manual to help you continue your movement practice at home. Pain and lack of mobility aren’t a requirement of getting older! Improve your health and make daily activities easier through new movement habits.

private sessions

Private sessions allow me to give my full attention to your specific questions and concerns. All sessions are one hour.  You will be taught exercises and alignment points to most efficiently address any pain you are having, or symptoms that need fixing. All exercises given can be performed at home as well for rapid progression and improvement!   Please contact me  if you have any questions.
